Naam Mein Ka Rakhwo Hai?

In a fictional village, every full moon brings an unusual tradition—a swayamvar where women choose their ideal “Sushil Ladka.” The village elder, Somavanti, poses a riddle, and whoever solves it earns the right to tell a story—with one condition: it must be a lie. The most convincing lie wins, yet each falsehood becomes a sharp satire, revealing truths we often see but choose to ignore.
As the night unfolds, riddles blur into stories, truth into fiction. And through it all, one truth remains undeniable: love.

Director’s Note
Riddles (Paheliyan) have always lived at the heart of our folktales—not merely as games, but as carriers of wisdom, metaphor, and wonder. In Naam Mein Ka Rakhwo Hai?, we draw from this tradition while creating our own riddles, stories, and a playful new dialect born of folk rhythms, gibberish, and reimagined Hindi.
Set in a fictional, timeless village, the play uses wit, music, and satire to question the names, labels, and identities we hold on to.
And when all these fall away, what remains?
Perhaps, simply, love, laughter, and human connection.
