MAHADEVBHAI ~ (1892 – 1942)

Mahadevbhai (1892–1942) centres on Mahadev Desai, Gandhi’s secretary and closest observer. Drawn from his meticulous daily diaries, the play unfolds through lively storytelling as one actor embodies Gandhi, Mahadevbhai, Nehru, Patel, Ambedkar, and others. It revisits the values Gandhi upheld — non-violence, equality, tolerance, and justice — revealing their continued urgency today.
