Equus
Equus is a gripping psychological drama that probes the boundaries between passion, violence, faith, and the hidden forces that drive us. In this re-imagined staging, Playhouse explores Peter Shaffer’s classic through Carl Jung’s concept of the Shadow Self, using the haunting language of shadow theatre to reveal the desires and fears that shape seventeen-year-old Alan Strang. As the mystery behind his shocking act — blinding four horses — slowly unravels, the play becomes a visceral study of what we repress, what we worship, and how the collision of the two can fracture the human mind.
